House washing in Melbourne's west - soft wash and pressure wash
Soft wash for weatherboard and render. Pressure wash for brick and concrete. We choose the technique that matches your home - proper clean, no surface damage.

The wrong pressure on the wrong surface costs you a re-render.
Most operators only own one nozzle and one pressure setting. They blast everything - render, weatherboard, painted brick - at full pressure. Render texture coats blow off, paint peels, weatherboard splits along the grain.
We use soft wash (low pressure, biodegradable cleaning agent, gentle rinse) for delicate surfaces, and pressure wash for the surfaces that need it. Different jobs, different tools - same operator, same standard.
Our 7-step house wash process
Surface inspection
Walk the perimeter, identify the surfaces, flag any damage that needs to be addressed before washing.
Plant + fixture protection
Garden beds covered, lights and switches sealed, fly screens removed if needed. We protect what we're not cleaning.
Pre-treat the worst spots
Mould, lichen, oxidation patches get spot-treated with biodegradable detergent and dwell time before the main wash.
Soft wash or pressure wash
Render and weatherboard get soft wash. Brick, concrete, and tile get appropriate pressure. Eaves and gutters get cleaned in the same pass.
Detergent rinse
Full clean-water rinse to remove all detergent residue. No streaks, no after-marks, no chemical smell left behind.
Window + screen reset
Windows and screens get a quick wipe so the house actually looks clean from inside, not just outside.
Final walk-through
You walk it with us. Anything missed gets re-done before we pack up. No invoicing until you're happy.
What house washing actually removes.
After a few years without washing, every Melbourne home develops the same set of issues - and they all become visible the moment we wash a test patch. Most homeowners are surprised how dramatic the difference is.
- Mould and lichen patches on the south side
- Render staining from sprinkler over-spray
- Weatherboard greying from UV
- Eave cobwebs and wasp nests
- Brick efflorescence (white salt deposits)
- Algae streaks under gutters
- Tannin stains from overhanging trees
- Bird droppings and dust accumulation

What does a house wash cost?
Every house is different - surface, size, height, condition. We quote on a job-by-job basis. The biggest cost drivers are:
- Total surface area to wash
- Single vs double-storey access
- Surface mix (brick, render, weatherboard, tiles)
- How weathered or stained the surfaces are
- Whether eaves, gutters, and screens are included
As a rough guide, hipages and Service.com.au put most Melton-area house washes between $400 and $900. We'll inspect your home and give you the exact number - no surprises after the work starts.
